Covid-19 Updates

Students and Parents,

The Professional Driving School Association met last week with the DOL and private driving schools to discuss re-opening.  The Governor has upgraded Private Driving Schools to be included as "Higher Education" and "Important Infrastructure" so we will be eligible to resume business. The reopening process will need to be implemented before we can officially open our doors. We are all anxious to get back to the new normal and we will be working diligently to at least meet the requirements set forth by the Governor, if not to exceed them. We respectfully ask for your patience during this process, the safety of our students and staff are our main concern, as always.

All classroom instruction will continue to be taught online through ZOOM until further notice.

Once we have met the requirements, we will be re-opening with some restrictions and limitations. We will be making phone calls and sending out e-mails to notify you of the schedules and to set up appointments for drives and tests. The appointments will be made based on class start dates.

Your involvement is voluntary, it is not a requirement at this time. However, if you choose to start back when called the following mandates are to be followed:

  • Customers are required to sign a log every time they are at the office or in the car that includes their name, phone number & email address.
  • All customers must wear face masks and gloves, also please bring a pen as well as your permit, or you will be required to reschedule if all of the provisions are not met.
  • Customers displaying any symptoms will be asked to reschedule.
  • Customers cannot be in the "High-Risk" category set forth by the Governor's office.
  • Customers are not allowed to congregate in or around the office and must maintain a 6 foot physical distancing at all times (exception within the training car)
  • Customers will remain in their vehicle until the Instructor gives the signal to approach the vehicle and wait until the other customers are a safe distance away.
  • Only the Instructor and the Student or the Examiner and the Examinee are allowed inside the vehicle at a time.

The DOL has not been approved to be open as of yet. So if you do not have a permit, as soon as we know they are open to issue the permits we will let you know.

Please contact us by phone, text, and e-mail or by Facebook messenger if you have any questions. We will keep you posted as we get closer to meeting the requirements for the state to re-open.

We are thrilled for the chance to re-open, however all of our student, parents, staff, your families and our families health is our main concern.

Thank you for your patience and kindness through this!!!
